She was born Feb 27, 2020, along with her 7 sisters to our wonderful guardian, Raina. Her name means "spot" in Bulgarian. Like all Karakachans, she is a very independent thinker.  She is quick to assist her mom in warning the local coyotes that this is her area.

She has been AKDA registered, microchipped, had her puppy and rabies shots, started on heartworm prevention, and is in training with Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats alongside her mom.  She can see the chickens but has NOT spent time with them.

The pups are growing!  They've had two rounds of shots, dewormer, flea/tick treatment, and general vet exams.  They are quite adept at finding the dead armadillos and dragging them back to the play area.  (Sigh.  Such farm dogs!)  They are learning the ropes on how to care for their goats from both mom and dad.  They've found every stick-tite seed available in the pasture and plastered them to their fur.

Growing Guardians

Our girls are growing!

Chickens, still.

We started our journey with chickens and a garden.  We still have both.  The chicken flock is smaller now tho.  We found that we don't use a lot of eggs and we do not have the desire to process our own birds for food.  We can if we have to but we'd just as soon not.

When we purchased the homestead, there were a few iris patches.  I've slowly added various other beds.  I'll keep adding as long as I can.
